Just curious - and I have nothing against speed - but exactly how much faster does anyone really need this brick to travel down the road ? It's a truck designed to work.

I don't believe the traction control system is involved with power output at all until wheel spin is detected. When this problem happens to me, there is nothing even close to wheel spin occurring.[/quote] I believe you are correct, while I drive the 150 with a 6.2L, the traction control "nanny" will only step in when I break traction. For example, I can floor it at a certain red light or whatever on dry pavement, more than likely will not have an issue, same scenario on wet pavement, the TC will kick in once wheel spin is detected, and you have to back off the accelerator. I don't think it effects the Torque (initially) at all. And when it does kick in, it backs off the engine RPM very quickly, so you'd know if it was the TC when merging into traffic. |
If it was traction control that's a easy fix shut it off. It seems the only way to correct it is a tuner. Personally this isn't a issue for me. I may buy a tuner after the warranty if over, but that will mostly be for fun and bragging than changing anything that bothers me.

Has anyone tried Bully Dog tuners? I was thinking of going with one over 5 star since they have more mount covers making thingsloom nicer.
