Smell of raw fuel on hard excel.

I have noticed a smell of raw fuel when I roll into it WOT. It does not happen every time and only when WOT. Hangs in the cab for a while too. I have stopped right away a few times to look and can not seem to find the leak. I did do the blue spring up grade but see no leaks there. I also changed both fuel filters a while back and have not seen any leaks, but have not rolled all the way under the truck when it happens, just look for any moister on the frame. Any ideas as to where or how to find the leak?

Double check the fuel line and return lines on the fuel module. I assume when you did the blue spring you had these off. Make sure you use two wrenches and be gentle. Perhaps take apart and check the o rings? Mine gave me a few fits trying to get the big line bolted back up straight and tight.

OK. That gives me a new place to look. Thanks.

Going WOT won't increase your fuel pressure or chances of a fuel leak, it should actually decrease your chances of a leak because of lowered fuel pressure. Since the pump is electric and not mechanically driven you should have higher fuel pressure at idle. I suspect what you're smelling is raw unburned fuel from an exhaust leak.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Cracked y pipe. Goes right into the cab. I doubt it's unburned also.. Why would it be raw unburned fuel? What's your fuel pressure? Normal? Any smoke out exhaust? I bet it's just exhaust from a cracked y pipe. I'm on my third one. Aftermarket without expansion joints.
