trucks at play

I know between this and the 48-56 forum we have several threads the show these old truck at work, or in the past and as they are right now. But I thought a thread showing how we play with our trucks might be good.
Like this last long weekend I went with some of the family to Dumont Dunes and let Teddy run loose in the sand, it was a blast.
This is the weekend each year that the Vegas Jeep Club holds their sand drags and hill climb event. Back in the day I ran Teddy in the drags, but now just drive the grand-kids through dunes. While their parents play with the long travel sand cars.

Nice pics of Teddy, looks like a fun time. Here are some that everyone has already seen. That must mean that its time to go have more fun!

Ok, the last pic was fun up until this point. Keep in mind that very, very clear water may be deeper than you think.

Teddy looks better every time I see it! Well, pics anyway. What size tires on there?

I know my mom always said don't play in the street but that's the only place my truck plays.

What a great idea :-jammin It's great seeing trucks being used as trucks rather then driveway decorations :D

2013 Vintage trailer rally at Lynden Wa. Folks were really friendly. We tooled through the grounds when we arrived and got a few puzzled looks and yes, some thumbs up as we clattered along with a light diesel plume emitting from the straight pipe. The slick trucks look to be having a good time playing as well. That trailer was for sale for 600.00 and the top was removeable and was a boat when turned over! Took a lot of self control not to buy it. Much fun was had by all!

DamnedifIknow; Your mom probably told you not play in puddles too, but there you are.LOL That is a sweet lookin truck by the way!

Gary; glad to see you using the fridge for something like fun and less like work!LOL That wagon/boat is a cool slice of americana.

We cruised a small portion of the mother road today! Stopped in Hackberry on our way too Seligman for lunch, then back home. We were a little disappointed with the lack of classics on the road. It was a high 60's day with plenty of sunshine.

If this pic dosen't show fun in a Fridge I don't know what does. Also, you can see, like most females, my grand baby prefers not to use mirrors when backing up, except for make up!

theodore/teddy 02-26-2014 08:43 PM

Spurredon; It doesn't get any funner then that!!

Let her play!
