best u-joints and ball-joints?
 

I need to replace the ball joints on my 78 Bronco and get front end aligned before I get my new tires. Gotta change u-joints to.
What is the best brand out there? I thought Spicer was the way to go but now I'm hearing some say Spicer was bought out and the quality has changed. Any truth to that? Thanks for any help. I want it to last for years down the road so I don't wanna buy junk. Also want something that has lifetime warranty.

Moog is my preference. I've never heard of ball joints or U-joints with a lifetime warranty. That'd be like tires with a lifetime warranty...

Supposedly the spicers do. I asked the same questions on another forum just to get a wide range of answers. Nobody seems to agree on any brand. Seems everyone has had mixed results.
I can't afford to change ball joints and u-joints every year or two.

My personal preference is still Spicer for U-joints ...... and Moog for ball joints and steering linkages.

Unfortunately, some vehicles eat through ball joints (*cough* Dodge). Honestly, most comparatively priced parts are going to be of very similar quality. If your truck is wearing out good quality (i.e. name brand) ball joints every year or two, the parts aren't your problem. Regardless, Moog has a good reputation and makes quality parts.

I got it off a friend of mine. Current ball joints and u-joints are about 20yrs old.

Being doing some research on XRF joints. Prolly give them a call. I've found some decent reviews on them.

for u joints spicer and neapco napa and the yellow box brand are all made by the same company neapco here in nebraska. the spicer and the napa are better forgings all made in america last i knew.

Hey I own am '07 ram with a lift an 37s on it...sadly it eats balljoints every year. Got the greasable ones from napa auto parts. Lifetime warranty and appear to be manufactured by moog. Not sure if they have any for our era trucks though...havent had a need to ask...yet...}>

Hey I never said I was proud of the fact it eats tie rods.

My front d60 axle ujoints are lifetime warranty! CTM racing joints. Lol @$350 each though

So much for income tax money lol. I'm looking at about 1500 for tires, ball joints and u joints. It never ends. Plus front end alignment and ball joint press( I want my own) so probably 2 grand for this little adventure.

X2 ^^ I dont know if spicer has been sold or not. But most likely if so the same tooling is used. Cant go wrong with moog.

Spicer are good. It's what I use. Non greaseables are even stronger

I use Spicer or NAPA brand with grease zerk . Tie rods , NAPA along with ball joints. I did just recently buy front coil springs from MOOG and they look good with a nice finish on them . I think i am going to get tie rods from them next.
