WOOLA is wonderful! (my border collie)
When I have to let her out to go take care of business - she barks to let me know it is time to bring her in.
When she comes in - especially if I have used the time to take care of the threats we see (such as cutting up trees and fallen branches) - she comes to me at once and snuggles at my feet. We both love the chance for me to warm up her fuzzy cold ears by rubbing them, and warm eachothers feets... She curls up next to me at such times, and lays down at night at the end of my sleeping bag between my legs (which is sometimes uncomfortable, but her heat is very welcomed) WE are a "TWO"... WE have come to understand some words between us, such as: "WATER", "FOOD", OUTSIDE", which seem very simple, but go deep. We are arriving at an understanding of one another that will grow over the years... She is a small fuzzy genius, and it is rare as I think back that I have experienced this kind of communication with any other dog. And she is always, always near to me if she can be - she goes nuts if we are ever seperate ~It is a bond that is rare between pooch and companion. I have seen this before - and knowing what it is and what it can mean, Woola and I are forever I cannot ever turn my back on her welfare, because Robert A. Hienlien said it truly: "Love is what happens when someone elses life, welfare, and happiness is essential to ones own" "WOOLA" is definately a "SOMEONE". My RED puppy kiddo from BARSOOM! :-wink https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ctureid=131299 ~And yeah, she's a character... |
My sons little Mickey is just like that with me. I do so understand the love a dog can give.
Unconditional. We can learn so much from them in that regard for sure. Love her to death literally Dutch. They are so worth it. |
It is what the creator made them for - so that a small fuzzy mentor can teach us about what love is.
The nature of love is far from us at times, but that is how we should think of GOD, and how GOD sees us... The little ones show that to us ~They always trust ~Even if we have been stupid, they love us ~Sometimes we show them a bad side, but they question it ~It takes a lot of work to turn a dog against us ~When we doubt ourselves, a dog is there to teach us we deserve love too ~Dogs do not believe we are bad inside ~ A dog convinceses us to get up in the morning ~Dogs know the benefits of running and PLAY... ~A dog is smart about what to eat, and what not to The list of teachings that dogs give to us is astonishing - endless... But the most important thing they teach us about is LOVE! I have been looking at that for years, and can find no fault in it. Puppies know the right way to live, it as a natural born essence of them, and they want to share it with us! Everything you have ever heard about what Jesus tried to teach us - a Dog (puppy) is also trying to tell you too... So I believe ~Wolfie PS: If you really look into the eyes of a puppy - you will see yourself as you should be NEVER forget that long ago - before the world taught you stupid things - you had your own ideas about it That is who you should always be IMI UBU That is the foundation of my own philosophy ~Find the child that you once were... That is who you really are |
Well I believe that you believe right my freind. The few times in my life that I could not
and did not have a dog where some of the saddest and hardest times I ever had. They make my life full. And give me something to care for above and beyond Family. Not that I don't love my boys more than anything. But a good dog brings out things in us no people ever can. And if we have a good dog we really need nothing more than our Lord to be full. Ya know what I am trying to say here I hope. It ain't coming off very well though. |
Search your earliest memories
You may find that you are the same This is why the pups attract you so... ~CIAO PS: The things the creator gave us are still there - inside us. You have shown that to me by your gifts! PPS: Woola is munching on a bone at my feet. I expect she has other things in mind... *winkezzz* UBU - 2... |
Me and my cats never hung around dogs all that much, but I can't remember a time growing up that we didn't have animals of some type around. Everything from cows & horses to goats, sheep rabbits, hamsters, white mice, rats (my sister is evil), chickens, ducks, turkeys, cats and dogs. Animals are definitely good for the soul.

Growing up we always had a mutt of some kind. Most of them just wondered in
and stayed. Pop was always taking in homeless folks so dogs also got to stay as long as they was not mean or real sick. We had Chickens, Rabbits, Pigs and a truck garden. Pop was a timber feller and always brought baby flying squirrels and baby birds home in his canvas lunch bag. Had a pair of squirrels for several years. They would go out side and come back in. I guess they knew what side there bread was buttered on. But I had a lot of fun with an American Burro I had for about 4 years till I left home at 14. We spent a lot of time hunting together we did. And the damn Racoons became family also. They would wander in at night if a door was open and head for the dog food bowl. They love dog food. If we didn't leave some out for them at night they would scratch at the door and make all kinds of noise. Demanding critters they was. And spoiled way more than any dog or little kid. Never could fully domesticate them like the squirrels though. |
A "not fully domesticated animal" is also a blessing. They choose to share with you although they are not normally trusting.
Animals have learned through millennia that they are treated as "FOOD", and so normally expect to be killed by such as we. That they have such trust in you - speaks enourmously about who you are... YOU have a gift - and it is in your heart and way of thinking They sense that in you, as humans cannot I think Jesus would have respected you.... YOU are an ADVANCED SOUL, or SPIRIT I knew there was something about you I liked ~ A thing that seems so familiar, even though we have never met in person It is as if we met in a prior life, and were good friends You should look into Edgar Cayce, online. Perhaps I need to send you a book on that very topic HERE: http://edgarcayce.org/ ~ A small gift I can give to you - I am a member of that organization, and it is why I want to move to Houston Texas As far as I can tell, there is neither proof or disproof of everything he said. But many things have turned up over the years to back up what he said. And his mysterious "CURES" never failed, even if there was no way he could have had any way to know who they were for... Take it all with a grain of SAND, be ready to discard it all, but also ask yourself "WHAT IF?" I have found it all so remarkable, that I want to see where it goes I approach it with a "Spirit of skepticism, yet not denial", and look constantly for proof of evidence in support - or otherwise I am prepared to see it either way, without dissappointment You should also make up your own mind about it. Let no one else make up your mind for you UBU IMI ~OH! Yeah... It isn't a "CULT" And this is not "AM COAST to COAST" My Momma was looking at it - and she was college educated You make what you want to of it... They will tell you straight up - take what you can believe, and what is too much for you throw way. Even if all of it seems ridiculous. Every last bit of it It's up to you YOU decide ~Warren K. Thanks Dutch, I will check it out. It seems having lived in the bush most of my life
there has always been a wild or half wild critter that has befriended me. Some wounded that I nursed back to health. Others seemed to be just looking for a hand out. Or maybe lonely. Or maybe saw that in me. Have had a few wolf breeds that where quite interesting to say the least. And some Dingo dogs that where my best friend. Or maybe I was theirs. |
When we can see a part of ourselves inside of any other living thing - what ever it is can see it also.
Just like the old saying: "If you can see a fish in the shallows, it sees you too" ~Tah... |
