Shock and lift questions.
 

I have a 1978 f150 4x4 Shortbed andI'm looking to buy new shocks and steering stabilizer soon and was wondering if my truck now has only a single stabilizer can I put the dual stabilizers on it? Also I'm wanting to put 35s on my truck and believe I should put a little lift on it. I don't want nothing to high so would a 4" lift be too much with just 35's? And what all would I need? Shocks, front coil springs?? The truck has a stock suspension that I know of and has 31's on it now.

Steering stabilizers help dampen out the big bumps in a rough road and cover up bump steer, the outcome of a lift not done right. Yes you can put a duel shock kit on there.

Still need to address:

Drop pitman arm
Longer or adj trac bar versus trac bar drop bracket
Longer brake lines

Both places sale all you need and ck out Rancho and Rough Country. You need to do a F150 right lift wise with the correct pieces and parts, front end adjustment (caster&camber), front end aliment or it will drive like a POS.

Also ck out the condition of your rag joint, steering box, radius arm bushings while you are at it.

Unless you run super fast off road dual steering stabilizers are a waste of money. If you have bump steer, death wobble etc, It's a better idea to rebuild your steering components and axle related steering parts. Those issues are usually a result of poor steering geometry and worn out parts.
