I found this while searching for parts....

I gasped in horror when I saw it. I've put parts in the bathtub and sink before but never on the dining room table - on the GOOD placemats!

Hope the wife doesn't see his listing.:-X04

At least the gears are clean, not dripping with slime and 90 wt. I've rebuilt carburetors on my kitchen table and cleaned engine parts in the dishwasher before assembly. Oh, did I say that out loud? :)

pineconeford 02-03-2014 05:21 AM

Unless that set of gears was cleaned in an atomic-grade pressure sterilizer, it's gonna leave a mark and stink like old gear oil does.
Nope, that man was playing with fire. I admire his boldness though. ;)

L.O.L. yeah he was pretty bold doing that , but i believe those a hard plastic mats . See how the corner is sticking out over the edge and not drooping down like fabric would .__:)__JIM

Always remember, salad forks go on the left, reverse idler gear and thrust plate on the right and you'll be fine.

r_reed 02-03-2014 08:57 AM

maybe his wife already left him.

It's easy to do and survive - Divorce the wife with solid evidence and get to keep everything - It's surprising what stuff you can find for other uses

This made me laugh until I realized you actually wrote that about my past....lol.

I threw the test of tests at my girl before we got married in Nov. I have hung hubcaps and welder parts everywhere in the house.Although I don't think it will fly when we move to the other house.
There was a local guy with a transmission (dirty one) sitting inside his doorway when I was a kid.I remember it helped him get divorced.

Nope, no man who knows what a cluster gear is and is also willing to touch one would ever have a dining room and table that clean and with flowery table mats. She still is around.

He probably has a diagonal hash mark indentation in his skull right now from the first/reverse gear and is lying in a pool of blood. If the jury is at least six women in number she is free as a bird.

No, no, no. You guys have got it all wrong! The divorce has been finalized and he's living in the room he grew up, just down the hall from mommy now!

But honestly, I have used Kaboom on a variety of greased household surfaces (doors, faucet handles, floor, refrigerator handles) and it freaking WORKS! No scrubbing for this little lady! Just a little spritz, wait a second or two, and wipe clean.

carnut122 02-03-2014 08:10 PM

I gear cluster like that does not belong on a place-mat; it should be reserved for the good china.

Gotta admit, your logic is flawless. It's possible that the divorce or separation is very recent, though. He may be trying to raise fast cash to pay off the attorneys.

smallello 02-03-2014 09:24 PM

Maybe he cleaned it in the dishwasher first so the place-mat wouldn't get dirty...

OR

Maybe SHE posted the ad!
