Where to start first?
 

After some inspection of the freshly blasted cab I have decided that I want to replace all items that show any evidence of rust.
So both rear cab corners, floor pans left , right and rear and both rocker panels.
So if you were looking at that much repair where would you start first?
I can only ASSUME that the cab sitting on the floor is necessary to ensure the floor goes in straight. Should I start with the floor first or do the cab corners first?
By far the most difficult will be the leading edge of the roof.. I'm gonna save it for last. Compound curves are awfully intimidating to a novice welder.
Anyway I'm curious as what to do first.

I will have to leave the main question to the body gurus as far as structure. I believe you can fix the rear cab corners without compromising the cab integrity, but I am sure others will chime in.


I can tell you that I replaced both rear cab corners on mine. I didn't buy premade pieces, but just got some 16ga sheet (they say 18 is all you need) and cut and bent them to shape. I can't tell they have been replaced now that I am done, so I felt that means I did something right).

I also replaced on front cowl/cab corner and door pillar. I bought the preformed piece and had to do a bit of work to make it fit (seems to be the norm).

The floors are where you should be concerned about losing the squareness of the cab. Most end up cross-bracing if a significant portion of the floor is removed in order to keep it square.
