milky white stuff

Pulled out my oil dipstick today and seen a little milky stuff on the edges, ive seen it on the cap before but never on the dipstick. Could it be from condensation or to much fuel? I have not over heated this engine. 85 300 inline 6.

Most likely just condensation, common for this type of weather if the engine doesn't get hot and run for a good 30 minutes or better. Run around for a while, then shut it off and check.

Thanks. Thats what i'm hoping.

What thermostat are you running? All of these trucks are built for 192/195 stats, and if you go with less you may never get the oil hot enough in winter to boil off the condensation.

Also check your PVC system for functionality. Plugged up PVC will not pull out the condensates from the crankcase.

Most likely from condensation but a blown or broken head gasket can cause it as well.
