292 Y-Block Transmission

Does anyone know what Manual transmissions will bolt up to a 292 Y Block?

I understand that it needs the right bell housing but i am in a tough spot and need some of this info.

As far as I know the T-98 works.

The bell housings fit a Ford "butterfly" pattern. A non-synchronized crash box (T9?) will fit. There are versions of T98, T18 and, likely, T19 that will fit but the input shaft must be Ford-specific. Lengths may vary too. I just rebuilt a T98, it was relatively easy. T98s are not the same internally as a newer T98A but the rebuild parts do match up. Oh, and there are two or more three speeds (T85 and friends) that can fit. Today, John Mummert can help you fit a T5(!). Car and truck applications can vary clutch, input shaft, and mounting of any of these. Sounds rather ambiguous, yes? That's alright - these guys will have many details:
