1976 f150 paint

Hi, I am in the process of rebuilding my engine in my truck and while it is out I would like to paint the firewall. I have painted a jeep before but I used a single stage paint and it was just a off-roader. So what do I need for primer and paint? And can I order paint online to match my paint code? Thanks Andrew

Just go down to your local car-quest and have them mix up some paint. There isn't anything wrong with single stage, especially those who are new to the painting game. Remember, back when your dent was new single stage is the only thing they used. I would advise having them mix up the color you like in single stage enamel and buy the matching primers. Some primers do not react well with top coats and will bubble up the paint or crack very quickly.

61steven said it the way I would have. Nothing wrong with single stage. Wimbleton white or whatever color white is pretty easy to spray, just don't lay it on heavy.
