1984 Ford F150 Regular Cab 2WD For Sale In Grand Rapids MI - D & L Auto Sales

Just got home with this one trailing my 2011. What package is this? XLT, Explorer, or something else. It doesn't say anywhere.

MavSprint 12-31-2013 02:48 PM

Good lookin' truck!! Has it been in MI long?

maytag906 12-31-2013 03:43 PM

Don't know too much history on it. Not enough rust to have been there long.

FWIW, there is a sticker on the bumper, says AAA auto club, from Southern California. Maybe?

Triple-A sticker, topper and the color all point to "Old Man Truck" which means it stayed in the garage whenever it snowed and the week after. Nice looking truck, though! The color can stay but if you're under 60 best to 86 the cap. (no offense to our Senior members) ~Bill

maytag906 12-31-2013 04:34 PM

I'm not sold on the cap, either. But it looks like it's never been off the truck. Plus, instead of clamps, they used bolts drilled into the top of the bed.:-huh

Anyone know how to set the clock? It's got 3 buttons, TIME, ET TIME, and DATE, along with 2 other smaller buttons not marked.

75Three90 12-31-2013 04:39 PM

Nice truck. Ditch the topper.

CarolinaCanes 12-31-2013 05:30 PM

I haven't messed with my clock yet...no idea.

I like the color alot. I've always liked the red ones best but the two tone is awesome imo. The Brown and tan ones are sharp too I think.

Id be happy to be called an old man if mine was in as good shape lol.

Brad from Oz 12-31-2013 05:39 PM

Geez what's with all the hatin on canopies? :'(

I'll second " old man truck" just check out the carpet! very nice truck indeed.

What's that gizmo attached to the underside of the bonnet?

maytag906 12-31-2013 05:45 PM

The gizmo on the fenderwell, by the M/C? Something to do with a trailer brake. Or do you mean the reel light?

flyhound 12-31-2013 05:49 PM

I'm curious to if this has been repainted or repaired sometime in the past. The color the box looks a little different shade or it just could be the outside is faded. Looks like the hook is a little different shade then the driver's fender. Dent in wheel well but no paint scrap. Did you guys not notice the tailgate and almost new rear bumper?

To set date press and hold down "date" and "left button" to set month. Do the same on "right button" for date.

Same for time. Left if for hour, right is for minute.

flyhound 12-31-2013 05:54 PM

It never fails, someone always trying to be something from a Chevy under the hood of a ford. Referring to the under hood light reel.

Brad from Oz 12-31-2013 06:10 PM

Light reel, cool. I've never seen one before, we see a few under bonnet lights but just fixed globes, not an extension reel.

Yeah I did notice the tailgate not matching.

flyhound 12-31-2013 06:14 PM

Light reel is one you would find on the inner fender just above passenger side from wheel just behind the battery on a gm pickup.

CarolinaCanes 12-31-2013 06:14 PM

My truck has a light reel. Doesn't work (or I couldn't figure it out). I was under the impression that it was stock.

75Three90 12-31-2013 06:53 PM

Some bull noses came with light reels I've had 3 with them
