How do you get house paint off of plastic surfaces?

I rubbed the passenger mirror up against the garage just slightly and it now has some paint from the garage on it. I tried scraping it with a finger nail and rubbing hard with a rag but I can't get it off.

Is there something I can use to remove the house paint that got rubbed onto the plastic?

Lots of folks looking but doesn't seem like anyone has a suggestion. I know I've gotten the paint to come off before but I can't remember what I used.

Guess I'll try some tooth paste...seems to work for everything else.

Use some white polishing compound on a washcloth. Rub gently until it comes off. You can use soft scrub if white compound isn't available

pbeering - thanks for the suggestions:-jammin

I found and old bottle of plastic polish in my garage...that worked fine to get the paint off. I'll try to be a bit more careful pulling into the garage since the doors aren't very wide.
