Twelve FTE Days of Christmas

Here you go boys and girls. Well, GB Sisson inspired me with the Favorite Things lyrics. All the entries were great and I knew I couldn't compete with all the excellent lyrics. So since it is the Christmas season I thought I would do a Christmas song. I thought about for a few days and got down to work on it tonight. Here it is. I tried to keep it Ford Truck related and the rhymes close to the original... I hope you enjoy it and feel free to add your own versions!

The 12 FTE Days of Christmas

On the first day of Christmas Mid-Fifty sent to me,
A Tootsie Roll in a baggie.

On the second day of Christmas my wife gave to me,
Two Mechanics gloves
And a Tootsie Roll in a baggie.

On the third day of Christmas Craftsman sold to me,
Three Wrench Sets,
Two Mechanics gloves
And a Tootsie Roll in a baggie.

On the fourth day of Christmas my rich uncle gave to me,
Four Thunderbirds,
Three Wrench Sets,
Two Mechanics gloves
And a Tootsie Roll in a baggie.

On the fifth day of Christmas a junk yard crushed before me,
Five Olden Rigs,
Four Thunderbirds,
Three Wrench Sets,
Two Mechanics gloves
And a Tootsie Roll in a baggie.

On the sixth day of Christmas a bad ebayer sold to me,
Six seat covers a fraying,
Five Olden Rigs,
Four Thunderbirds,
Three Wrench Sets,
Two Mechanics gloves
And a Tootsie Roll in a baggie.

On the seventh day of Christmas Dennis Carpenter mailed to me,
Seven Dash Knobs a-glimmering,

And a Tootsie Roll in a baggie.

On the ninth day of Christmas Julie PM’ed me,
Nine Ladies Tee-heeing,
An 8-Cylinder a purring,

Six seat covers a fraying,

Three Wrench Sets,
Two Mechanics gloves
And a Tootsie Roll in a baggie.

On the tenth day of Christmas Number Dummy emailed me,
Ten Ford numbers for Keeping,
Nine Ladies Tee-heeing

On the eleventh day of Christmas a Truck Stocker gave to me,

Great job. Very, very funny! But I don't get the first day... Tootsie roll in a baggie? I drove past the local dog park yesterday and there was a guy leaving with his dog, carrying something that looked like that.......I'll be thinking about my verses today while I'm planing 4000' of 1x12.

Since you don't have a 53-56 truck I guess you don't buy from Mid-Fifty. When you get a part shipment from them they include a Tootsie Roll for free!

But I was born in '53. When I was 53, I bought this '53 f350. Unfortunately a few years later the recession hit, and hit hard in the building industry. I sold it to keep the farm, and my ***. I'll have another '53 one day, but my wife was born in '57 and I'd like to buy her something from '57 when she turns 57 in just over a year. Anybody got a cheap t-bird. haha.

Oh yes, I forgot you had that neat 53 F350 Express. My wife was born in 1957 too. And she would like to have a 57 Third with the port hole windows.
