85 F150 won't start
 
well i have a question i have a 1985 ford f-150 with a 5.8l HO 4V motor i lost the timing set an replaced it an i have spark compresion an im priming the carb with fuel an it wont hit off an it has new fuel line pump an filter a new timing set an cap rotor coil an ignition moduale can anyone give me a reason it shouldnt start if the firing order is right

I didn't see this Ben.

If you have the three essentials; fuel, spark and compression- the engine should show at least some sign of life.

Can you tell us some more about what it is or isn't doing?

What do you mean by "lost the timing set"?? Did you replace the timing chain and gear set? If so, it should be dot to dot on the sprockets.
