Changing Tranny Fluid
 
After owning manuals for 28 years ,I want to do a tranny oil change
What oil do i need to use,And is there any down falls i need to know about,4R100 tranny and is there any tutorials out there

Hi Patchy,

I did a fluid change last year at the GTG in Sydney.

A couple of minor considerations:
- as I'd never previously changed the trans fluid before I opted to change the pan gasket and trans filter - these are the only parts I've ever bought from a Ford Dealer and were $150;
- as the pan was coming off to change the filter and gasket I also opted to buy a John Woods Valve Body (from RiffRaff) and fit that too - it is an easy unbolt/bolt up change over.
