2011 suspension
Hey guys, I have some Rancho shocks from a 1 ton Ford. Wondering if they would transfer over to my 2011 F-150? I've been looking to get some Supersprings and a level kit for it as well, just not sure what the best route to take is. Thanks.

Sorry, won't work. Super Duty is springs independent of shocks. F150 is coilovers up front.

I am certain that the rebound and damping on the 1 ton shocks would be way too stiff for a half ton. I am saving up for some Biltsteins.... I've loved my Ranchos in the past, but Biltstein is the new hotness.

I installed Bilstein HD's, a 1" spacer kit on the front and Hellwig 1801's on the rear on my '11.
Rides and handles very nicely. |
Suspension upgrade
Hey Grutz,
Since those shocks are not transferable, you might look into our StableLoad. Customers often find the StableLoad resolves a lot of the problems related to why someone would get shocks, airbags, super springs, etc. The key with StableLoads is that it prevents side-to-side sway and sag while under heavy load. They can also be engaged and disengaged while remaining installed on the truck. Here is a link to a thread posted by another FTE member who used them: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...d-install.html |
