57-60 Clutch/Brake pedal return spring
Guys,
I am looking to replace both my clutch and brake pedal return springs on my 57. Does anyone know where I can get these? I have tried a vendor (who will remain nameless) that did not indicate they were out of stock but after several emails finally told me they were on a long back order. Even if you have ones that will work as they do not have to be original. Here is a picture of mine: http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps2d421ff4.jpg |

Here is a picture of mine: http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps2d421ff4.jpg 2) TAAE-9737-A .. Brake & Clutch Pedal Retracting Springs / 4.05" long -34 coils .88" diameter / Obsolete Applications: 1957/63 F100/1100 / 1964 F100/700 / No FoMoCo Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any, because... In 1967, Ford replaced this spring and others with 'universal fitz-all' springs that came with two long extensions with a loop on one end, that could be cut to fit. There were four different types of these springs, each one had a different tension...these were also used as carb linkage retracting springs. The same universal springs can be bought in autoparts stores. |
Sir....You are the BEST!
Thanks much!! |
