6 volt to 12 volt power converter?

Wondering if anyone is running one of those 6 volt positive ground to 12 volt negative ground power converters???

I really want to run a radio, IPOD in my truck (6 volt positive ground). I do not need to go down the street Bumping gangster style, just want to be able to play music loud enough to hear it inside of the cab.

Anyone running one of these?

Before I spend the 100.00 wondering if it is a quality product?

Thanks

There are also 6v/12v batteries around $300 that I believe work good. I had the link some time ago, but can't find it.

If the devices you want to run can be powered by a USB port, follow this thread to see how you can make it happen for under $20.

I use a 6 volt to 12 volt inverter in my 48

i put a cheap radio in glove box
with a dual 12 volt outlet for cell phone or GPS

Joe,

Can you provide the name and model, please ? Also, where did you get it?

Did you get it from MAC?

What does it involve to swap a 6 volt system to a 12 volt system?

I got it from Macs about 10 years ago
still have 6 volt pos ground truck
with a 12 neg outlet in glove box
that you can run small electrical electronics
not motors or fans

Joe
