Exhaust on Ecoboost
Has anybody put an aftermarket exhaust on a Ecoboost? If so, does it sound ok?
|
Every one that I've heard on u-tube and in person still sounds like a V-6. Not much joy in that.
|
I think the "drone" would get old and drive me nuts when towing.
|
I read on the Full Race website that there is significant post-turbine pressure in the stock exhaust, and that has made me think about putting a more free-flowing exhaust on the truck in an attempt to squeak out some better fuel economy.
But this thing sounds like a pissed off vacuum cleaner on a good day, and I just couldn't imagine making that louder. I really like my engine and the power that it makes, but this is definitely a powerplant that needs to remain muzzled. |
I agree! Just curious if anybody has found anything.
|
Im hoping to put a down pipe on mine and use the stock muffler system. Hopefully gaining a lot of flow while still maintaining a realitivly quite truck.

I guy in town here had duals on his Eco, sounded like a twin turbo supra.

Holy crap that's nice!

Still sounds like a pissed off vacuum cleaner leave it stock:-huh

That's the first EcoBoost exhaust that is tolerable, would look good as a dual system too.
