44 to a HD44

Hey all,

Just picked up a 77.5 HD44. Will I be able to use the axel shafts, calipers of off the 76 44 I have now on the HD44? Is this worth the hassle? Rebuilt the 76 axel less than 3000 miles ago. I swapped it into my 73 that had the closed knuckle and drum brakes. Love the disk brakes! Thanks, for the HELP!:-X22

I don't know the detail differences between the two... that said since you have a rebuilt axle with good brakes now why mess with it? I'd spend time and money on other parts of the truck first. If you break the 44 in it now, different situation. You have a spare.

I can't let the big hubs just sit there, lol. I was looking for this when I found the other one. If everything switches over should be cheap to do.
