Red Anti-Freeze

I see when I went on tonight, that the new type permanent Red anti-freeze should not be used in engines with aluminun engine parts, is this true and that I must remove it from my 96 T-Bird W/aluminun radiator and other aluminun parts, cause it will damage them????

I seriously doubt it, because I've seen at least one GM (the only one I'll touch, my mother-in-law's) with it and it had aluminum heads.

Of course, after it had been in there for 5 years it was truly, really red from all the RUST!

More snake oil, in my opinion...

All those GM engines like the 2.8 and the 3.1's are aluminum block engines and they use the red dexcool. Maybe fords red coolant is different than dexcool though.

This is some of what it said on the Home page about Hot days and yur Diesel, PG coolant is not recommended for Power Stroke Diesel engines. Because of its chemical makeup, PG coolants can cause damage to aluminum parts, gasket materials and certain kinds of hoses. It also has a lower boiling point than EG coolant, usually 10 F to 15 F lower. While it may not sound like much, in a modern cooling system with a high output engine a few degrees may make all the difference in the world. Coolants that are methyl alcohol or methoxy proponol-based should also never be used. and has me toubled about using(now that it's in there) about long life anti-freeeze.
Thanks for e-zing my mind about PG antifreeze and aluminun.
