Anybody using Rotella T 15W-40
 

Is anyone using Rotella T Triple Protection 15W-40 in a 6.4L PSD?

Up till now the local Ford dealer has done all my maintenance but based on the horrible experience with the last service, I will be doing my own oil changes.

I plan on using OEM Motorcraft filters but I'm trying to decide on which brand of oil to go with. Several friends have recommended Rotella T Triple Protection 15W-40 for my 2008 6.4L. I know it meets all of Fords specs but I'd thought I'd ask you guys opinion.

Any oil that is CJ-4 approved will be fine, I use Mobil 1 5w40 synthetic, or Rotella 5w-40 synthetic.

I use Rotella or Motorcraft. Whichever is the cheapest at the time I need it. I've done oil samples on both with no difference.

I use Rotella T6 5w40 and very happy with it.

I use it in the summer and usually go to a 5w40 if I have a change come due in the early winter and switch back in the spring.

That's exactly what I use in mine. 12.97/gallon @ Wally World.
