Front Shocks on F4 and Larger Trucks????

Does anyone with the F4 and larger trucks have front shocks? Were they an option?. Blue, a '49 F4, has none and there is no indication she ever had shocks. I guess when road speeds were 45-50 mph and the self dampening effect of leaf springs, there was not a lot of need for shocks.
It is time in the build that I come up with something.

They were optional. If your still running the factory springs, adding shocks probably won't be that noticeable of a difference since the suspension doesn't move much.
