Motor and trans bolted in, had to send the first set of headers back, they hit steering box.

That is awesome! Looks so good. I've been thinking about doing something like that to my '60 with a 223 in the future.

Nice build looks great. Just curious why you stuck with the factory style self aligning rockers ? They have a tendency to chew up valve stem tips especially with higher lift cams. Self aligning roller rockers should be the first on the list when hopping up an early SBF.
Just some food for thought.

But great build either way looks fantastic.

Ya check em at 2.5K miles to make sure they are not chewing up the valve tips, at .500" lift you should be ok, anything over that or if heavy springs are used it is pretty much a given the push in rocker studs should be changed to screw in studs, guide plates and roller rockers or screw in studs and self aligning roller rockers.
Heavy springs can work the push in studs out of the head.

Thanks! I am putting a 351W and AOD in my '58. This may simplify the exhaust installation.

This is looking amazing, love the valve covers.The wires around the Master cylinder would drive me crazy. Would you be offended if I came over and re worked the wiring?Ha JK

Haha, no way, welcome anytime! They have since been addressed, truck goes to muffler shop tomorrow AM. I'm pretty excited.....
