way too tight

i am working on a 74 460 std bore and bearings all completely stock and i just replaced the main and rod bearings still all STD and torqued to spec and i cannot turn motor over even with a 3 foot cheater pipe i have loosened all rod bearings and it spins freely but if i tighten any one of the 8 rods i still cant move it crank was in perfect spec according to chiltons manual motor only has 80,000 miles on it but could that be why the bearings make it so tight? and yes i did pre lube everything..... i have not a single clue why its so tight but im hoping i can just use an old mini starter and hopefully it will crank it what are your thoughts?

I would double check the rod bearings. It sounds like they are the wrong size.

Your bearings must be the wrong size. DO NOT try to crank it with a starter or start it if it's so tight. The only thing you can do is tear something up.

^^ agree ! something is not right ! I worked for a part store in the early 90's . We got a few reman cranks that were not true . They showed the same problem . Mic , plastiguage , second opinion ! Be sure before you crank It up ! IMHO . Best of luck !
