Help in identifying radiator

I'm hoping someone might be able to cross reference this number or enlighten me to where I can look for a number on the radiator.
I found a tag with a number of 3433 589.
That is the only number I can see on the entire exposed part of the installed radiator.
Truck is a 79 4x4 with a 460 installed in it.

While double checking the radiator size to order my fan shroud I noticed
that it appears whomever installed the radiator didn't install it in the original spot.
They lowered it down a bolt hole so that it would be more center to the fan. You can see the dirt/grime from where a bolt use to be.
The radiator measures at 19 1/4" h x 26 3/8" wide (maybe 26 1/4") but it looks closer to 3/8ths it also has a depth of 2 3/4".
Looking at the dimensions for the radiators that should be installed in the truck, these dimensions don't quite match. On LMC the largest depth they show is 2 1/2"
The H x W is right though.
I'm guessing this is a 80's or newer radiator because from what I have read so far, that year should have the part number stamped onto it? I'm also thinking this radiator belongs to a 351 or similar and they made it work?

Not FoMoCo related.

Looking where? Do you have the Ford Truck Parts Catalog? Probably not. If you think LMC has the correct specs, they probably don't, cuz they don't have the catalog either! :-X15

What engine came in your truck originally, 300 I-6 or 351M or 400?

1977/79 F100/350 351M/400: FOUR possible radiators, TWO possible radiator dimensions, TWO possible fan shrouds:

Standard, Xtra Cooling & A/C Radiators: 19 3/4" high x 26 1/4" wide / Specific fan shroud: D7TZ-8146-A - Marked with ID number on upper left corner: D7TA-AA

Super Cooling Radiator: 24 11/16" high x 26 1/4" wide / Specific fan shroud: D7TZ-8146-D - Marked with ID number on upper left corner: D7TA-SA

Super Cooling Radiator has a HUGE top tank, is wider and deeper than the other radiator top tanks.

Original radiator has an ID number on a brass plate sweated onto top tank or located on the right or left flanges. ID number will include 8005

Carpenter has both these fan shrouds, using the same Ford part numbers and radiator specs listed in his 1967/79 repro catalog. What does LMC have?

I believe it was a 351-2v, if I read the vin right.
I also think I measured wrong on the depth as I just checked again and it probably is 2 5/8 but I measured heavy.
anyway I just checked the tag placement again and the tag is on the tank (passenger side) facing the engine.
No I don't have a ford parts catalog and being new to fords well...
LMC lists the stamped numbers for the shrouds in their catalog.
They don't list anything stamped wise for the radiators but do give dimensions.
Once I figure out what the radiator is for, the shroud part number will be minor. The tanks are both the same size so that eliminates the super cooling option.
Since the D4TA-AA and the D7TA-AA are the same dimensions except for the depth I want to make sure I get the right one.
I'm confused you are helping though. Don't want to play the merry go round shipping game and just wish to get it right the first time.
I know the 460 wasn't an option for these trucks so I have no idea what to cross reference for research. No clue as to what the engine came out of.
Could have been from a lincoln for as much as I can tell.

I didn't think the 351 radiator/shroud parts could be used for a 460 but it looks like it pretty much is?
The radiator being moved also is throwing me off and made me think I need to triple check before I order. and I still don't know what it is since you say the tag number isn't fomoco related and there is no other ID visible.

4th digit ~ 1977/79 F100/350 & 1978/79 Bronco: H = 351M / S = 400 both only available with 2V's.

I have the 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog (available on a CD from hipoparts.com). Who else typing in this forum has it besides jermafenser and mikeo0o0o0?

I know the 460 wasn't an option with 4WD, so I have no idea what to cross reference for research.

Where did you come up with D4TA-AA? No such ID number. There's D4TA-CA & CB (460), D4TA-DB (360/390), D4TA-EB (390) and that's it.

People swap engines but may leave the original radiators/shrouds in place, may not.

D3TZ-8005-G .. Super Cooling Radiator: 1973/76 F100/350 360/390 / 1973/79 F100/350 460 / 1977/79 F100/350 351M/400 / 1978/79 Bronco 351M/400.

The radiator is the same, but not the fan shrouds!

* Here's page 1 (of 4): Radiator ID numbers to Ford part numbers. Notice that 8005 is both the ID basic number and the part number basic number.

Meant D4TA-CA
Typo on my part, confused my fingers when I was looking at both shroud numbers.
Definitely not a super cooling radiator, those top tanks are close to 5" wide right?
Thank you for helping I'm going to take a chance and probably order the D4TA-CA. I'm guessing the bolt holes should all be there to match the multitude of shrouds. SO besides clearance of the fan from the radiator; I shouldn't have install issues I'm guessing?

I know; I'm concerned about that. Why I thought I should try and ID the radiator for peace of mind.
Than I can confidently order my shroud.
thank you for the cross reference sheet.

D8TZ-16138-A .. Radiator Support-Use with Rectangular Headlamps ~ 1978/79 F100/350 & Bronco.

If your truck has round headlamps, there are TWO different radiator supports. One was only used with Super Cooling Radiator! Since it's taller, the opening radius is larger.

Thank you for the cross reference sheet.
I only listed page 1 as an example. There are 3 more pages, as you can see.

Marked D4TA-CA = Ford part number D3TZ-8146-D .. Fan Shroud ~ 1973/79 F100/350 460

Before buying from LMC, see what Carpenter wants for it. LMC is a middle-man operation, doesn't have much of anything, buys most of the parts listed in their catalogs from other repop sellers, autoparts stores.

Another supplier other than DC would be:
NPD - Restoring American History | Mustang Parts | Camaro Parts | Chevelle Parts | Ford Truck Parts | T-Bird Parts | Firebird Parts

They say their radiators are made in USA and, one of our sponsors.

Fan shroud finally arrived and as I was fearing, the radiator definitely doesn't belong to the truck. So now to scrounge some pennies together to get the correct radiator. Might make that a spring project since it is working.. The thermostat was a 190 so I'm swapping that out until the snow falls.
It's working for now as long as I don't sit in traffic on hot days or it will get too hot.
It isn't a DD so that should buy me some time to get the right part.
Thanks for the links to radiators and the scans.
