I just rebuilt my 351 w and dropped into my 82 bronco but I have a problem water is running out of the back vacuum hookups what could be the problem???

That's a weird problem... sound like the head gasket wasn't properly tightened in the rear part of the engine, or like it was blown (which would be very strange too).

Back vacuum hookups? Are you talking about thermactor ports in the back of the heads?

Yeah, I wonder what "back" meant, too.

If it means vac ports towards the rear of the top of the intake manifold, that would be scary. If its coolant, for coolant to get from the rear coolant cross-over in the intake manifold to get to an intake runner (like via a bad, wrong or improperly positioned intake manifold to cylinder head gasket), would think that one or more cylinders are filling with coolant by then. A gasket leak could also put coolant down into the Vee, onto the lifters and down into the oil sump. Loosening the oil pan plug just a few turns and seeing if coolant starts to drip out first is a simple test.

If this engine has not been run yet... don't crank it!
