93 PCM in a 94?
 

I'm wondering if a PCM I found from a 93 will work in a 94 as long as all the other details are the same about the vehicle.

I have a 94 E350 with 460 & E4OD Trans - Original PCM is F4TF-12A650-YA

Donor is F3TF-12A650-JA.
I am being told that this came from a 93 version of my vehicle and that it is 100% compatible.

My internet searches on the donor PCM tell me it is for a 1993 E350 with 460 and E4OD Trans.

Given the different part number, I guess I'm just nervous about this donor PCM and am looking for confirmation.

Assuming there are no issues with the donor PCM, have I found a legit donor PCM?

It should be the same. The pin locations are in the same place so as long as it is programmed for the same setup e4od/460/4wd if 4wd it should work. Also, a 4wd PCM will work in a 2wd but not the other way around.
