F100 Parts
 

I have been thinking of getting a 48'-59' F100...(actually have a line on a 50' f100 right now that I want). My question is-- how hard is it finding parts for these old trucks in Nevada. I rebuilt a 68' Chevy K10 when I lived in NM and it was pretty easy finding the parts I need in pick-n-pulls online etc. I was hoping to have that same kind of luck with this truck.

1948/52's are F1's. F100's introduced in 1953 and thru 1956 are Flaresides, outside rear fenders bolt to bedsides that flare outwards at the top.

1957/60's could be either Flaresides or Stylesides (introduced in 1957), are called 'fridges.' Gazillions of parts reproduced for 1948/52, 1953/56.

1957/60: Not very many parts are reproduced and can be difficult to find used.

That depends on what part of Nevada. Here in Vegas most of the yard scrapped the old metal. I found a group of old vehicle enthusiasts that meets every Saturday morning here in Vegas. Most of them either trade parts, order them from the catalogues, or go to California boneyards. I even have trouble locally locating things for my '70.
