Converting cab/chassis turbo?
I've got a 2012 cab/chassis truck and I was wondering what it would take to bring it up to the performance of the regular trucks? I know the turbo is different, so I would assume that at a minimum the turbo and ECM/programming would need to be changed.
Anyone gone down this road before? thanks! |

I read a thread a while back about an aftermarket turbo in a c&c. Confederate diesel did the install i believe. The thread was at powerstrokenation

When the dealer put the brand new motor, turbo and much more in my truck I asked them about putting the turbo that goes in the pick ups in my cab and chassis. They said they couldn't do it.

Vince, the EPA forbids the dealers from doing this unless they want to pay a big fine and be put out of business.
Bodabdan is wondering what it would take to do it himself.

This thread is kinda a gong show, but some one "apparently" had a aftermarket turbo installed on their f550.

Gong show indeed.

Sorry, I forgot how much of gong show it really was. This is their turbo kit, think they are using it on the c&c 6.7s too.

Thanks for the video. This is the best option I've found so far, AKA the only option.
