Guys on here with strobes/warning lights mounted on their F-Series?
 

Post'em up, with info on the system, pricing, etc.

I have two sets of 3 on my grille and on my tool box. One set is white and the other is orange. I also put in two 3/4 inch orange marker lights on the passenger side of my tool box. Im going to grab two more later today for the other side. Im going to swap out the white with orange since at night the white has a blue tint and I dont feel like getting **** for having them if someone thinks theyre blue. I also have a revolving orange light for the roof but I have to fix the plug. Heres the control box in the cab.
The lights have 3 settings, the first they blink 5 times then switch to the other side and repeat, the second the blink once and switch to the other side, the third they all blink together. I got these off of ebay for 30 bucks and they work great! If you get them I would put some silicone around the light heads since they arent waterproof other wise

Whatever you do, do not include your exsisting brake / tail lights in your strobe sequences. This will cause your convertor clutch control solenoid to switch on/off with your sequence eventually burning up the solenoid. there is a write up on the net which i will add link as soon as i fix my trans problem.

^^What he said... its best to just get a set of strobes and strobe heads and install them into the tail lights directly, its only a 1" hole per strobe head

I hope you have a NEED for strobes.

I had a set of Whelen hidden strobes in my reverse lights and front marker lights in my old plow truck. It was perfect. All 4 corners were COMPLETELY visible. One of these days I will get around to doing it in my Ranger(current plow truck)

I am in the process of mounting a set of amber oval pop in strobes into the aluminum headache rack on my dually for when I am towing

I do tree work and this is my DD and work truck so when doing storm clean up or work at night I need to be seen

O and check you local laws. A lot of places require a permit to have strobes and they have to be the correct color

ah makes more sense now lol And yes, in most states you have ti have a permit for red and blue lights, to get a permit you have to be a first responder.

Dafuq? Why on earth would I ever put strobelights, etc into the brake light circuits?

I'll be doing it all as a stand alone setup for easy installation/removal.

I do service repairs (Lights will be amber/white only) and at times can be on the side of the road (Here in KY some roads only have 8'? or less on the shoulder of the road) and it makes for some extremely tight spots to work in.

Service vehicles (Repair vehicles, tow trucks, etc are allowed Amber/White lights for visibility reasons), so I'm covered in that aspect.
