That was me that removed your post. The post was removed for violating site rules.
Maybe you should read them again, since you agreed and signed them. Number 6 is the rule you violated: "6. Personal Items For Sale . For Sale items are not allowed in the automotive and general discussion forums of FTE. The rules you agreed to are here: Ford Truck Enthusiasts - Discussion Forum Guidelines The way we handle violations are here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ml#post8491972 These rules were here before you joined.......... |

What I see as the bottom line: we manage to get an awful lot of good things accomplished here in spite of the limitations. To help reduce the caustic nature of the limits, they provide us with a classifieds forum. All in all, I find it to be a blessing. However, that's just my opinion. I'm sorry that it put a burr in your saddle. Hang in there, we all have crossed an imposed imaginary line (or three) in our lives. ;)

Your post is incredibly hard to read and I tried reading it twice. |

I can understand what I wrote. The post was, due to cleaning up the shop,& I cant count n.o.s. parts up in the attic. So THIS IS NOT a for sale POST, everybody understand that! We came upon lf & rt genuine fomoco top & bottom 48-50 F2 front fenders in the box my father bought when you could get them. I just was trying to help somebody needing something, and what I wanted for price was pay for the time/effort to crate and box these things. I am not in the parts busness, I am cleaning/making room for a growing machine shop and a little scratch for end mills & tooling. Shame; two nos fenders & lowers, two mint 61 up doors complete >in the dump truck they go period. -I am too old for nonsense for a stupid post I made to help somebody in need. kapeach is this understandable typing? |
Yes, your second post was much more readable. There is a classified section here for parts and trucks, that many use. Sounds like you found some great parts!
Fabman is just doing his job - if we all listed what we want to sell here it would overcrowd help posts. |
Too bad you are going to destroy valuable {more than you think) parts because of a misunderstanding. Everybody loses.
|
I'd guess there are 4 or 5 other members looking for, or offering to sell, or give parts to people in threads on Page 1 alone. The administration of the rules seems pretty arbitrary.

Problem solved
Thank you mr moderator I got the picture
Read post #8 by the Tinman 52 Read post #10 by the moderator QUOTE: I remove because forum MEMBERS "report the violation" Conclusion; NOT my misunderstanding " Looks like your own member buddies reported it -- anyone can see that in black & white And then IF there is a classified section here It is not on my screen no where! |
So IMO, the forum has served one of its intent. It has made known that some parts are available and I would think big job's PM box would be full.
Please do not throw out NOS parts. |
Classifieds are here: Ford Truck Parts for Sale - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
It would do somebody, and their project, good to get new parts at a fair price. I see your cause for tension. For example, what about posts from new members who state "I know a guy who knows a guy who has a lot of parts.." We, as users, certainly want the lead on parts. These parts are hard to find. The new folks can't post in classifieds. So, are the moderators likely to turn a blind eye to that sort of post? Let's hope so! That is likely why it's akward when they shut down a more senior member who's just trying to help out fellow forum friends. I guess that they draw a line somewhere and that's where it falls. I, for one, understand your frustration. This, too, shall pass. |
BTW: I'm on another forum where the practice is for a moderator to simply "move" a post to the right forum, say classifieds, and they then leave a pointer to the moved thread where it was originally posted. Fabmandelux, is this something that you feel the FTE could do and benefit from?
I've done enough damage here, I'll move on now. ;) |
You actually have a pair of New Old Stock factory new F2 fenders sitting in your shop??? And....you want to get rid of them????
If I still had an F2 project I'd be all over that!! |
