i am wanting to install a radio in my 53 f100 ,, i hate to cut the dash, so i would like to see pics of your guys radio

You could use something like this,

Dash Board Extension 1953-1956

I used a dash extension to put my ac controls and vents in so I could keep a stock looking dash.
My radio is under the seat.

Here is one of the slicker setups...electronics under the seat and the control on the back of the visor. Yes, the faceplate is still removable.
