Looking for a Machine Shop
 

Hello my fellow Arizona Ford owners. Does anyone know of a good machine shop in the Phoenix or Tucson metropolitan areas that is knowledgeable with doing machine work on 335 series (351C,351M,400) engines? I just pulled my engine this week to freshen it up and would like a reputable shop to do the work. I am in the far southeast valley so travel time to either city is about the same. Thanks in advance.

I used Matt at Machineworks to build a FE390 for me 6-8 months ago he did a great job for me.

I use Kelly's now on 19th ave and Hatcher in Phoenix, they are pretty good with FE blocks. You can call and see how familiar they are with 355 series. I have also used Hempleman's in downtown Glendale. Both shops have been around along time but I like to shoot the bull with the guys at Kelly's because they seem to be interested in whatever project I bring in and from talking to them they seem to like old Ford stuff an awful lot.

Thanks for the replies guys. I wil check all three of your suggestions out. I spent yesterday playing musical chairs with my engines to get the 400 on the stand to start tearing it down.

I ended up going with Kelly's on Hatcher a few weeks ago. An old Ford guru friend of the family also recommended them. Great guys like you said and good pricing. The gentleman that did the machine work owns a 77 F150 short bed 4x4 and was definitely interested in my plans for the engine.
