Why Cadillac service is expensive
 
How many techs does it take to replace a valve cover gasket? seriously, thats what they are doing.

When I had a shop I had to change the light bulbs in the headlights on a Cadillac CTS. The book called for an hour and a half labor to change two bulbs! The book was right, too. The bumper had to be removed to get to them.

Well....You know as well as I do you work on something long enough you find a short cut. :D

No surprise here, my neighbor's CTS was in the shop quite often and demanded a very deep check book to keep it running.
