I know the Ohio Chapter is pretty quiet, but I think we need to announce this event on the OC page for 2014. Millersburg is driving distance for me and unless I am fourwheeling (which is a high probability) I'd love to attend this event.

No...I won't be pulling with me 5.4L :)

We are having a casual GTG Saturday if anyone is heading to the Piston Power Show at the I-X center this weekend!!

FTE Ohio Chapter GTG at the Piston Power Show

Hope to see some of you guys there!!

Hoping to post the date and sign up for the 2014 meet in the next few days. I'll bump this thread again when I do.

Alrighty sounds good! About time! LOL. :-jammin I've been looking out for it for a while now, but its all good, I knew we were getting close. :-X22

I should be able to make it this year now that I have my own truck, and am looking forward to it.

You thinking around the same time as last year?

Monster-4 04-03-2014 11:08 PM

Most likely late June again but I have a few things to check on and confirm so the date could change wildly yet.

RedDevil460 04-03-2014 11:18 PM

Ok, sounds good Mike. Was just wondering. Like I said I'm looking forward to it, and plan on attending.

I know from July 17-20 is the RiffRff Diesel East Event, which I will be going to. So I don't know if it could get pushed back till then but I know it would keep me from going if it was then, and not sure if it would interfere with anyone else too. Just letting you know. :-X22

Decent

I watched a handful of these videos a little while back, and I agree that it was very impressive with the hill climbing with that amount of weight behind those trucks. Especially the gas trucks. I've got an 01 5.4 F350 CC/LB/SRW/4WD/3.73 and I'd actually be half curious to see how it would do haha. I do tow with my truck sort of often..(not as much as I used to do to not running a haul/transport business any longer) but in all honestly she hauls what I need it to and haven't had a lick of problems. The heaviest I've towed with it was 10,000 lbs...that being my 2000 lbs pintle hitch equipment trailer with a 7800 lbs Ram 2500 CTD Mega Cab, 4WD with a blown rad on it. Actually hauled that load an hour away from home back home for a fella, my truck hauled it surprisingly well to my fortunate surprise. It was a lot of highway driving, and I could easily maintain 95-100 Km/per/hr and stopping wasn't hard either. I wouldn't ever wanna tow weight like this everyday or even every week, but in the back of my mind I know it Can do it if I ever need it to. At some point I wanna swap my 3.73s out for some 4.10s for better hill climbing power and some more bottom end torque for getting it moving easier from a stand still. Really awesome layout there though, it was extremely well done and very entertaining.

Thanks for doing that guys.
What a fun pull contest and cool videos.

Already loved my 6.2 gas engine and that made me even happier to see how well it did.

I loved these video's, truly an incredible piece of equipment. Recently my truck that now has 140k on it (running amazingly still). has started making the same thump sound yours made. after this video did you ever have any issues with your transfer case? that thump was it the transfer case chain or something else in the front end? here is a video of me driving. you can hear the nose best at like 41 seconds. mind you I'm on snowy roads and not pulling anything. any help would be exceptionally helpful.
