93 F250 7.3L IDI non turbo swap
 

Hey yall, i have a 93 F250 7.3L IDI non turbo. i want to put a turbo on it but have no idea where to start. I dont know what kind of turbo i can use or the components needed. I am new to diesels. Could i use a tractor turbo, if so what kind. What truck could i pull the components off of at a junk yard to put on my truck. Also what other upgrades could i put on my truck to increase the power. The truck is stock as of now. Thanks for the help.

Do alittle searching with the search feature, there are ALOT of posts on the subject already.

Can you tell me exactly what to type in? I have searched for days trying to find info about this and have come up with nothing. Thanks

To do a search,

Find the drop down box on the top right side of the main pre-powerstroke forum page that says "search this forum" and type in keywords. I found this thread by searching "turbo thread" for instance. There are about 5 thousand threads on the subject! Happy reading! FWIW I have a factory 94 turbo, and a 93 NA with a Banks Sidewinder, and both are good bolt on power mods, but I think the Banks is a little better.
