94' in a 90'

Hello guys, recently my 351w in my 1990 f250 blew up, and i was wandering if i could put a 94' 351w into it?

Won't be a problem at all... Just treat the '94 engine as a LONG block, use all the sensors and accessories from the '90..

BTW Welcome to FTE!!!

One other thing, the '94 motor has a roller cam while the '90 had a flat tappet so you will need to swap drive gears on the distributors.. steel roller cam needs a steel gear while the cast flat tappet cam needs to see a cast drive gear, mix them up and the softer gear will wear out very quickly and ruin the motor. These gears are pressed on so you'll need a gear puller to remove them and a socket and hammer to reinstall.. not a hard job I have done it numerous times.
Also you can't just swap distributors because they are wired differently, your '90 has the TFI module on the side while the '94 was setup for a remote TFI module.

OK thank you for pointing that out, do you know of any other wat to get it off besides a gear puller, I don't have one and can any one else think of anything else I need to know?
