I have a question for you all. How do you keep your truck from rusting? OUr f-250 shows no signs of rust yet and we want to keep it that way. Yes, I got her for sale but I dont find anything out there to replace her with yet so how do we keep her in ship shape? thanks in advance for your info.

I try to spray some Fluid Film into the trouble area's once a year or so. John Deere stores carry it or can order it for you.:-drink

Same here. I used a whole gallon last fall. I do have surface rust on the frame now, but my truck is an 06

sounds like it's alot of work but if you can pull the box sides off there are foam pieces over the wheel wells that hold moisture; some guys remove them. really they're the source of the typical rust on these trucks.

buddy of mine coats his wheels wells and frame with some type of petrolium-based every wall.. probably like the fluid film chad mentioned.

Thanks guys, my brother mentioned a place that does rust proofing in midland called henderson bros. Anyone heard of it?

Fluid film is good stuff. Works great.

You can also get a POR type paint and paint the underside of the truck. I have done this on my last 2 Jeeps, not only does it look good, it really stops the rust from growing and seals out the moisture so what is there won't get any worse.

Home Depot sells this Naval jelly. You clean up the rust spot really well (just get rid of the loose stuff with like sand paper or a wire brush), then just rub it on with a paint brush, let it sit for 10-15 minutes and spray it off with a hose. Have been using it for a few weeks as I've been working on the Wronco and it seems to work like a charm in most spots that don't have rust caked in.
