7.3 IDI Turbo tranny dipstick
 

Just acquired a 94 7.3 IDI turbo...but the transmission dipstick is wrong and ford doesn't make it any more and I have had no luck locating one.....Was wondering if someone could measure their stick on a factory turbo or if a dipstick tube from a banks kit would work....

previous owner put a dipstick from a non turbo in it and it is way too short...:-X19

any ideas or help would be great.

I don't know if the Banks tube will work, but I do have one I'd be willing to part with if you wanted to try.
I also have a 94 turbo but I installed the Banks system, and obviously the turbo dipstick is too long for a tube meant for an N/A distick.

I would prob be interested in the tube to give it a try if i cant get a measurement. But if you get home and don't mind could you measure you factory one and I will make one to fit in the factory tube.

Tip to cold full-1"
Tip to hot full-1" to 1 5/8"
Tip to o-ring- 44"
Tip to lip that sits against tube when fully inserted-44 1/2"
Measured from mine which is the correct one as far as I know..:-X18

Got the same measurements on mine, 44.5" from tip to shoulder.
I tried to measure the tube but it kindof zig-zags all over the place.

i got a junk yard next to me at has one if you need it i will give you his number and you can buy it and have it shipped or i could buy it and ship it to you:-jammin
