Had to modify a brake booster bracket to fit an F2 (with pic)

Hey guys,

Earlier in the week I was asking if anyone knew where I could buy a brake booster bracket to fit an F2.
The problem is that the aftermarket under-floor brake booster kits have a bracket that only kits the F1 bolt circle on the pedals and frame.
Since one doesn't seem to available as a part to buy, I took the F1 bracket that came with the kit and had a local guy that does awesome welding/fabrication do this bracket for me.
Here's how it came out.....what he did was cut off the 'frame' end of the bracket and made a flange that fits the larger bolt diameter for an F2.

Am posting this in case someone wants to go down the same road....

It is a 1951.

After the picture was taken I went to mount it on the frame and I had to cut two small notches in the new flange lip so that it would not interfere with the gusset corner on the frame. Other than that it will work OK.

It is 5" in length with the modified flange...same length as the aftermarket bracket.
It would need to be a minimum of 4" long to clear the stock cross-member gusset if someone were to build one from scratch.

I have to correct myself..............the bracket should be minimum 5" long to clear the lower cross-member gusset too.

Thanks for the clarification

Here is a guy on E-Bay who is selling the brackets for a decent price. $40 including shipping.

Keep in mind they are for an F1 bolt pattern and must be modified as noted above to fit the larger trucks.
