Mounted V1 Radar Detector

Finally mounted my V1 radar detector in my new Expedition. Used another Z mount and Invisacord as in the other cars. Can instantly remove the V1 and pop in whatever I'm driving. Sorry, I should have wiped the finger prints off the mirror first. :^)

I run the same mounts or at least similar (blend mounts). that is the only way to go. Looks nice and clean.

Nice Job.. Considering that with my Escort detector. can you post any pics showing a bit of the back side of the mirror.. Is the invisicord the fabric cover over the wiring?

No, the fabric loom is factory. The invisacord is only 2 wires with tips that will plug into the factory mirror plug (behind the mirror), then plug into the side of the V1.

Invisicord and plug on mirror

Ok so now I am REALLY curious.. do all expys have power plugs in the back of the mirror?

IDK, the 2 Expeditions I've owned sure did. At the very least, If there are courtesy lights under the mirror it has power and a plug.
