It would be a nightmare to try to individually put the wires on the switch were they belong and keep them there.

It might be best to go to a local upullit yard and find a truck that has the same connector you do, I think all of them in our year range will be the same except possibly diesels.

I would cut the connector's wiring harness a few inches back so you can use a piece of the wiring if you have to.

You can probably even find one without a steering column in it making it easy to cut the connector out, ford steering columns sell quick.

If you don't have a upullit nearby, I imagine most regular junkyards would be willing to cut the connector out and sell it to you cheap, there are lots of these truck around and hardly anybody ever buys the dash harness.

Anyway, once you get the connector, make note of which which wires go where. (After double checking to make sure it will plug into your new switch) I would draw a little picture of the connector and label it. Then carefully release and pull the short cut off wires and terminals out of the connector.

The terminals have a little tab on them that keeps them from coming out, just push the tab back with something thin and flat from the front side of the connector and they will pull out the backside.

I have an old lockpick that works great for this, but a small jewelers screwdriver works ok. I have even used the end of a paperclip before. It might take a minute to figure out how to get the first one out, but then its very easy after that.

Now you have an empty non-broken connector, just push your wires into it from the back and they will click and lock into place. Check your picture to make sure you are putting them in the right place. Might have to push a tab or two out a bit before putting them in if they don't lock in.

Now you have a connector that is good as new.
