oil cooler ?

If clogged oil coolers are the main cause for egr cooler failure, and you do an egr delete; if the oil cooler is still clogged what problems if any could arise?

They can burst and dump oil in your cooling system , this is very bad .

A clogged oil cooler causes high temperature diffs between EOT and ECT. High EOT contributes to the perhaps-mythical problem of sludge formation inside your injectors (ala Hot Shot's Secret additive). I would also wonder about the effects on the HPOP.

Quite simply, the oil gets hot. I've seen 297 easily. At 300 or so, the oil filter standpipe will melt, sending molten plastic through the engine. Deleting the cooler doesnt solve anything.

That's what I was thinking. Thanks!
