New Guy Long Shot

Hey Guys,
I am new here and have a request.
I am searching for my old truck. Obviously, I would love to have it back but if not would just love to know it's condition. I cannot find any of my old paperwork, so I do not have a vin.
My Dad and I towed this truck out of a field and worked on it for a year before I ever drove it.
I am 41, it was my first car. I owned it from say '88-'91 I guess.
It got towed from the apartments I was moving from. By the time I realized it, they told me it would be $1500 to get out of the pound. I was an 18 year old with a kid and just couldn't afford it. I lost the truck. It has haunted me every since.

Here's the description:
It is a '62. Red?White. Short box, Red cloth bench seat, slotted mag wheels from the 80's.
Here's how you'll know it: I bought a wrecked 85 or 86 Mustang from the Junk Yard and put in the motor (5.0 302) and tranny. I replaced the engine because it had caught on fire and there could have been damage from that.
I had just put a new Holley 650 on it. That's about all I can remember of it.
Obviously this would have been auctioned off in the D/FW area.
I am hoping one of you guys is driving the hell out of it.
Thanks. :-X0A6

Huh. I picked up a (titled as, could be wrong) '63 that had a Mustang 5.0 installed at the time. Its got a real bad flat-black paint job that is covering what looks like the original red and white. Underside of hood looks cooked, too. I wish it had slot-mags!

Its got a California title that was issued in 2009. I suppose it could have made its way out to the wild west.

When I bought it, I made a deal for just the truck, no engine/tranny. The seller had use for them and I was going to pull them out anyway, so I let him to the work, and I towed the frame/body off. I've got a nice, low-mile 429 and matching C6 that I lie to myself about putting in there and making a hot-rod. Its reasonably straight, not too much rust. Good glass. Its got 4 new tires that I am probably going to steal for my '65. Sitting in my back yard, just waiting......
