suicide knob????

ive been looking for a spinner knob for the truck and i just cant seem to find one thats
1: on ball bearings
2: can fold
3: IN THE USA!.

im on my way to the truck stop later to see what they have. but in the meantime, anyone know where to grab one?

Have you checked FleaBay yet? This would be my first choice, for obvious reasons: http://www.ebay.com/itm/STEERING-WHEEL-SPINNER-KNOB-SUICIDE-KNOB-RED-RIDINGHOOD-/300892501732?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item460e9736e4&vxp=mtr
I'm thinking the truck stops would have a great selection---they're quite common in all the big trucks I've worked on.

i did glance on ebay, nothing quite like what im looking for that isnt coming from china.

the truck stop didnt have any at all, but it is kinda a small one. (loves at exit 162 on i-10 in chandler az) thats the only truck stop for 40 miles in either direction...

I know this is an old thread but do you have access to Tractor Supply?
SpeeCo Deluxe Wheel Spinner - Tractor Supply Online Store

check with your dot/state police before putting one in a vehicle.
they are illegal in most states.

PennsyDutchman 07-09-2013 05:29 PM

It's a myth that spinners are illegal. Check the following: http://www.suicideknob.net/state_laws.html

no tractor supply stores anywhere in az.. it sucks, I love that place! rumor is they are going to open one in gilbert. but as of now, none around...

PennsyDutchman 07-09-2013 06:15 PM

you can believe that website if you want to, but if you get caught using a steering wheel spinner knob in New Jersey by a state trooper, you WILL get a ticket, and will also not be allowed to leave until it is removed from the vehicle.

and i know a few people in other states that had the same experience.

PennsyDutchman 07-10-2013 04:16 PM

As a retired police supervisor, I've had many experiences with officers thinking something was against the law without having read the codes for themselves based on "everyone knows".
Even I didn't know all the codes and had to constantly be looking up information to be sure charges would stick.

Mute point now since the OP has changed his mind.

You got any PROOF? I - for one - would like to see something that I can refer to - in writing!

Well if you really changed your mind, that's too bad. My buddy had one on his Buick and we claimed the front disc was stuck (the rent a cop at the mall believed us haha). But anyways, atwoods might have one, northern tool and supply (I think that's the name) has them, as well as the semi and off road shops around here. And personally, suicide knobs shouldn't be illegal if puke pipes arent

351Cleveland C4 07-11-2013 06:04 PM

I just changed my mind cuz after thinking on it I decided that it would be more of a pain than of use.

and why is it starring out the Knob s word???
