Looking for part number - numberdummy?
Hey, I am looking for the part number for the nut that hold the steering wheel on my 1970 C600.
I have the parts manual and can find it in the picture part, but not in the actual parts listing part. The picture part shows it as a 382892-S but I cannot find that section in the parts list section to see what the real number is? Thanks, David |
That is the part number for that nut. Many nuts, bolts, pins, etc. (hardware) use part numbers just like that. The -S means that the nut has a "plain" finish- it is not plated or anything.

Thank you!

The text section is required to verify if the standard part number has an additional suffix after the S (as you can see). Text-Section 36 - Page 4 (towards bottom of page) - 3600 WHEEL ASSY-STEERING 382892-S2 .. Steering Wheel Nut - 3/4" -20 x 1 1/8" / Obsolete If searching for this puppy on parts locator sites without the 2 .. lotsa luck finding it, because it's an invalid part number. :( DON SANDERSON FORD in Glendale AZ has ONE = 623-842-8643. WESLEY OBSOLETE PARTS in Liberty KY has TWO = 606-787-5293. GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has FOUR = 800-543-4959. |
Much thanks NumberDummy. I think I could like to be 100 and still not know as much as you do.
