1960 Flareside to Styleside

Did a search and didn't find anything. I have a 60 F100 shortbed Flareside is a Styleside bed a direct bolt on?

The same frame was used for both beds. Of course you would need tail lights and tail gate. Not sure if the wood spacers under the bed are different or not.

If you can get the complete bed, yes.

I put a 9' flareside box on a 9' stakebed dually truck and all the holes were already there on that frame. Straight bolt on.......

Thanks guys for the information. Picked up the box yesterday and took some quick measurements and it looks the same. Now all I need is a tailgate.

Nevada should be happy hunting grounds for a tailgate. Dang you've got some dry sheet metal in those parts. :)

By the way Gary, how was the honeymoon?

My bed came from the Arizona desert. I'm from NY where everything rusts. Out here we don't know what rust is.

My bed and tailgate came from the little known, dry eastern side of our state. Unfortunately my cab came from the West side where we are famous for rain. Not much snow/salt except the municipalities have discovered salt in the last few years. I spent years 14 to 21 in New England. My formative driving years in rust buckets. Today's cars last longer in salt than the old ones. My first pickup, a '65 f100, I bought in '72, so it was 7 years old and was rotted 1/2 way up the doors. Paid 375.00 for it with 50,000 miles. Of course new it was probably 1400.00 or so... Today I try to buy my old vehicles from dry areas and get them here however I can. Shipped a non running landcruiser truck from Show-Low AZ. a few years back, and a '53 f350 pickup from N. Dakota. Both cost 900.00 to have shipped. A good deal for rock solid sheet metal. Lucky for me, my fiance likes traveling in Montana, Idaho and Eastern Oregon and Washington. Great hunting grounds for trucks and parts. Oh, and Spurredon we fly to Hawaii a week from today and the honemoon starts a couple days after we get there. I went to value village (second hand clothes) and got a bunch of Hawaiian shirts and some of those short pants so I won't look like a tourist.......:D

Styleside bolt holes

I have a styleside and a flareside bed and measured both beds mounting holes. The truck was originally a flareside. There are no holes in the frame to mount the styleside bed. I know the frames are the same but the holes do not line up with the styleside bed. What am I doing wrong?

Probably nothing. You may just need to drill matching holes in the frame.

Tailgates for the 57-60 and up styleside beds are being repopped. I don't remember where or what sight I saw them on. Might be Macs or Orange county Fords but I have seen them listed. Ive been lucky and so far I have found the 2 I need without going to the aftermarket ones. Good luck finding a nice one they are few and far between.

Orange county Fords? Never seen or heard of any such business and I live less than 5 minutes from Orange County (CA).

The Truck & Car Shop is located in Orange County, in the city of Orange, sells both Chevy & Ford truck parts.

Blue Oval Truck Parts located in Anaheim, another city in Orange County.

Mac's is located in Lockport NY...a looong way from Orange Counties located in CA and FL

Just working off my old grey haired memory. Sometimes it burbs and some of the wrong stuff comes out. Thanks for the correction I was to lazy to get up and go look at the catalog to get the correct name.
At any rate the gates are repopped. Don't ask me what they are like I have never used one so I don't know. If you want a pristine gate then that is the way you will probably have to go.
