Procomp 22210 vs. 22410 springs?

Im trying to figure out what the difference between these two springs are. they are both for the front right? It seems like the 22210 is what people use to get a 4" lift, but i read the 22410 come with the 4" lift from procomp?

Basically im just trying to figure out what i need to clear 35s lol. My truck is currently 3" lower in the front, WITH a 2" leveling kit so new springs are going to lift it alot. Does anyone know if 22410 will be too high? Keep in mind this is for a diesel so a gasser would be alot lighter and probably get more lift

Also it seems like 95% of people that use the 22210 springs are using them on an excursion...will they lift my F350 the same amount? Or should i just go with the 22410s?

Decisions, decisions...

after a quick google search I can't find anything different ??? they same like they have the same weight rating too.... huh.

Weird... I wonder if the 22410s are for the super dutys and 22210s are for excursion?? I don't want to go over 35s, but if the 22410s look good with 35s I'll adjust the rear as necessary

The 22210 springs are ProComp's 2" leveling springs. Depending on how bad your current front leafs are sagging... you MIGHT see close to a 4" lift. MAYBE. But probably closer to 3" lift.

And that will settle down in a month or two and net you about 2 to 2.5" after all is said and done.

That's the results I saw with mine. I'm still running them for now. Wish I would have gone slightly more.

As far as tires are concerned.... It will probably clear 35's ok, but your wheel width and offset can affect clearance too.

I was going to get some big wheels and tires to go with the lift, but had to put that plan on the back burner for now. Budget wouldn't allow it.

But once I free up the funds I'm going to get a set of 18x9 wheels and 35/12.50R18 or 325/65R18 tires. I will probably swap out the 22210 2" springs for the 22410 4" springs when I do to get some extra clearance.

It says anywhere from 1-6" of lift for 22410s, lol. Nice spectrum there. I'm guessing 1" is if your springs aren't sagged at all, but in my case, I have a 2" leveling kit and the front is still 3" lower. I guess I'll just do those haha.

Thanks for the review, that certainly helps. I definitely think I'll do the 22410s now. I am planning on 35x12.5x18 with -12mm offset. That's what I ran on my old F250 and only had rub on the mud flaps. Did you adjust the rear suspension at all?

Ginther 03-11-2013 04:40 PM

I had a 2" block in the back from the factory. I took that out and put a 4" block in it's place for a 2" lift in the rear.

It's got a little rake, but not race car like. I'd rather have a little rake, cuz I hate when 4x4's squat in the rear.

Me too. So 22410s may need a 5" block or perhaps a long 2" add a leaf. Still should look awesome, my front springs are so shot and truck is really low in the front left. Now I need to find u bolts and a drop pitman arm. Already have an adjustable track bar

so one is just a leveling spring, and the other is more of a lift spring? ok....

Correct. But some people, me included, saw some "lift" out of them. Probably because our stock front leafs were sagging so bag.

The claimed "2 inches of lift" are actually 2" over NEW STOCK height, not 8,9,10year old used saggy height. LOL!

Yes, you will need a drop pitman and adj. track bar with the 22410's.

I originally used what 4 Wheel Parts called a "box kit" to center my axle with the 22210's. It used the stock track bar, but used smaller bolts and offset bushings in the bolt holes to move the axle over about 1/2" so it was centered. It worked. Once I tightened it to about 500 ft/lbs. Before that the bushing would shift and throw the steering wheel alignment off.

I didn't like the idea of the bushing and possible axle movement so I pulled the stock track bar and box kit stuff out and went with the Zone Offroad adj track bar. 3 99 04 Ford Super Duty F250 F350 Adjustable Track Bar | eBay

I'll get a pitman arm if/when I switch to the 22410's.

I originally installed a ProComp Add-A-Leaf # 13128 to get the rear lift I wanted.

It rode like crap. Way to stiff and bouncy for my liking. I dont have a big bumper or toolbox, so the added stiffness was not working for me. I pulled it out and did the block thing.

I also installed Rancho RS7000MT shocks all around when I did the lift.
